What If Mental Health Is Really Brain Health?
The Amen Clinics Alumni Restricted Scholarship Fund is a donor-supported fund established by a committee of former Amen Clinics patients who experience profound, life-changing results from their brain health evaluations and integrative treatment plans. Grateful for their transformation, these alumni came together to “pay it forward” by raising funds for individuals who need similar care but lack the financial resources to access it.
“We’ve been where they are, and now we’re helping them get where they need to be.”
Although the name includes “alumni,” this fund is not for former patients, it’s specifically designated for members of the general public who are struggling with mental health, addiction, brain trauma, or related challenges, and who cannot afford the comprehensive brain health services offered through Amen Clinics.
OUR GOAL
We aim to raise $25,000 to fund at least 5 full scholarships for individuals in need in 2025. Each scholarship, valued at approximately $5,000, covers a full Amen Clinics brain health evaluation, including:
- Brain SPECT imaging
- Expert psychiatric and integrative assessments
- A personalized treatment plan
- Ongoing clinical follow-up and support
OUR MISSION
The Change Your Brain Foundation is committed to improving mental health by advancing access to proven, science-based brain health care. This fund supports individuals dealing with issues such as:
- Anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, Suicidal ideation, PTSD, Autism, Concussions & TBI, Early-onset Alzheimer’s and more.
WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS
- Comprehensive Evaluation: Holistic assessment of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors.
- Brain SPECT Scan: Advanced imaging to evaluate brain function and guide personalized treatment.
- Diagnosis & Treatment Plan: Expert-driven plan tailored to the individual’s brain and story.
- Follow-Up Visits: Support services to monitor progress and adapt the plan as needed.
WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP DOES NOT COVER
While all clinical services are included, scholarship recipients are responsible for their own:
- Travel and transportation (e.g, flights, gas, rental cars)
- Lodging, if an overnight stay is needed
- Meals and personal expenses during travel

- All genders ages: 10-85
- Residency: Open to the general public
- Financial need: Applicants must demonstrate limited ability to afford care

Every dollar donated goes directly towards clinical services for scholarship recipients. The fund is managed by the Change Your Brain Foundation and championed by a volunteer Alumni Committee- individuals who know firsthand the life-changing impact of this care.
