The Change Your Brain Foundation and The Refuge Center for Counseling have partnered to raise funds for the “Into the Light Scholarship,” offering a full evaluation at the Amen Clinics and up to one year of therapeutic services at the Refuge Center For Counseling.

The Change Your Brain Foundation’s mission is to end mental illness by sparking a revolution in brain health. Through our support of research, educational initiatives, and patient care for those in need, we are committed to changing the world one brain at a time and helping people lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

The Refuge Center exists to offer excellent, accessible, and affordable mental and emotional healthcare services in support of a transformational impact on communities.

Together, we have created this scholarship to improve access to the services offered by Amen Clinics and The Refuge Center for patients who might otherwise not be able to afford them. If you have been directed to this page, someone has already identified you as a possible candidate.

The Into the Light Scholarship is ideal for patients who are:

Interested in addressing mental and physical health concerns from a brain health perspective.
Motivated to follow the advice of an informed physician who may make recommendations such as medication, nutritional supplements, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and therapeutic services.
Lacking the resources to afford the cost of the SPECT scans, evaluation fees, and long-term therapeutic services.

Please be aware that the process from application to clinical evaluation may take 3-4 weeks. Participants are selected by review of our selection committee approximately once per month. Therefore, this is not the appropriate pathway to seek help for patients who are in urgent or acute need, nor for patients who are in crisis.
